Our Impact

Sustainability at Premier is measured by action, not words. Our efforts are designed to deliver real, measurable impact.

We’re proud to share our new Carbon Report, a transparent look at our emissions, reductions, and the steps we’re taking to reach Net Zero. Read our 2024-25 Carbon Report here -

Boundaries

When calculating a company’s scopes, such as ours, we have to set some boundaries to define which parts of our operations and activities are included, ensuring our reporting is consistent, transparent, and accurate.

We actively measure and track:

  • Scope 1 – Direct emissions from sources we own or control

  • Scope 2 – Indirect emissions from the energy we purchase

  • Scope 3 – All other indirect emissions across our supply chain

Executive Summary

Understanding our carbon footprint starts with knowing where our emissions come from. By breaking them down into Scopes 1, 2, and 3, we can see the full picture from the fuel we use directly, to the electricity that powers our offices, and even the wider impact of our supply chain.

Below, we’ve translated that into clear numbers to show exactly where we stand today (2024-2025):

Total

1853.72TCO2e

In 2024 - 2025 all of our emissions amounted to 1853.72 tonnes of carbon

All figures capture the second year of reporting emissions for Premier Print & Promotions Limited from 1st April 2024 - 31st March 2025 and have been certified by third party's whilst remaining in line with GHG Protocol.

How are we reducing our impact?

We’ve already planted over a thousand trees, and no, not in some far-flung corner of the planet we’ll never see. We’ve been putting them in the ground at Dartford, right by the crossing, where the M25 coughs out enough exhaust to make a Victorian chimney sweep blush. If you’ve ever sat in that traffic jam (and who hasn’t), you’ll know it’s not exactly a woodland glade. A thousand leafy lungs soaking up that cocktail of fumes won’t change the climate on their own, but they will make the air a bit cleaner for everyone who lives, works, or sits fuming in the queue.

And these trees aren’t just carbon calculators on stalks. By choosing native species, we’re creating proper homes for local wildlife. Birds, bees, and beetles now have an all-inclusive retreat, complete with fresh air and a little shade. Over time, those trees will stitch together a greener corridor for biodiversity while acting as a natural filter for air quality. We can’t promise to fix Dartford traffic (we sell merchandise, not miracles), but we can promise that the 1,000+ trees we’ve planted are already making the area a little cleaner, a little greener, and a lot more alive.

So yes, we’ll offset when it counts. But we won’t hide behind it. Net carbon zero isn’t about outsourcing your emissions to the nearest forest; it’s about owning up, cleaning up, and proving that “sustainable” is more than just a marketing buzzword.

Nature Background

What does our impact mean in real life terms?

1 tCO2e is equivalent to 3818 miles driven in an average car, giving us a total of offsetting 7,266,964 miles driven.

We’ve restored 8,856 m² of land — that’s about 35 tennis courts (each ~260 m²)

1 round trip around the earths equator is roughly 4tCO2e, this means we’ve offset the same as one person flying around the world 475 times

1 Big Macs is equivalent to about 4kgCO2e - that means we have offset an equivalent to about 475,000 Big Macs!

A standard football pitch = 7,140m², which means our woodland currently spans across the size of 1.5 football pitches.

1 pint of beer is around 0.24 kgCO2e, that means we have offset an equivalent of 7,900,000 pints of beer

The total amount of land we have restored so far is enough space for 18,000 wildflowers to bloom.

1 cup of coffee has a footprint of around 0.05 kg of COâ‚‚. With 1,903 tonnes offset, that’s the same as brewing over 38 million cups of coffee.

8,856 m² of land restored = 3.5 Olympic-size swimming pools (2,500 m² each)

1,903 tCOâ‚‚e offset = roughly 71,300 long-distance train journeys (London → Edinburgh, 650 km each)
